Comforting Things

After facilitating support groups for over 16 years, I’ve gathered suggestions based on what group participants have told me….their favorite comforting things:

Human warmth, human touch, humor, pets and other animals, walks in nature, easy diversions, good conversation, sharing photos, memories and keepsakes, prayer and meditation, soothing music, fireplaces with glowing fires, gardens, watching birds at feeders, comfort food, quiet and beautiful sanctuaries.
